Compensation is the top concern among professional drivers in 2025, according to the American Transportation Research Institute’s annual survey of trucking industry participants.

The 2025 ATRI Top Industry Issues report, released Oct. 26, found that the economy was the top concern among industry stakeholders for the third year in a row.

ATRI researchers conducted numerous interviews with industry participants who lost goods due to cargo theft. They also had input from experts who work to monitor and prevent this crime.

“In challenging environments like this one, it is ever more important to understand the issues facing fleets," ATA Chairman Dennis Dellinger says.
