Old Dominion Freight Line experienced a year-over-year decline in revenue during the fourth quarter due to its less-than-truckload operations moving fewer tons, the company said Feb. 5.

But the Charlotte, N.C.-based asset-light transportation provider posted a net loss of $20 million, or negative 12 cents a diluted share, for the three months ending Dec. 31.

Profit at Marten Transport more than halved in the fourth quarter of 2024 as ongoing weakness in the freight environment hurt revenue and margins.

Saia Inc. closed out 2024 with lower fourth-quarter earnings amid efforts to reinvest in the operations of the business, but it set a revenue record for the full year, the company said Feb. 3.
