Arizona has formally asked the federal government for permission to toll its 29-mile section of Interstate 15, but the governor of neighboring Utah and the trucking industry are pushing back against the proposal.

A Virginia truck driver who used a device to hide his license plate as he passed through tolls in the New York metropolitan area was arrested, the Associated Press reported.

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell said the Federal Highway Administration has granted the state preliminary approval to toll Interstate 95 under a pilot program.
