The relationship between America’s truck makers and the California Air Resources Board forged in the Clean Truck Partnership is beginning to fray.

Days after the engine's first showcase at ATA's TMC 2025 annual meeting, the Trump administration warned EPA regulations for heavy-duty trucks would be reassessed, with rollback likely.
