The trucking industry is seeing an increased shift toward freight-matching platforms as some major fleets become the latest users.

DAT Solutions and TransRisk have signed a deal to launch a trucking freight futures market through Nodal Exchange in late 2018, a project first announced earlier this year.

The Suddath Cos. agreed to acquire three locations of Graebel Van Lines as part of a wind down of Graebel’s operations throughout the country.

Consolidated Fastfrate, a less-than-truckload company headquartered in Ontario, is offering cross-border service into the United States through partnerships with other carriers, the company announced Dec. 6.
