Comdata Corp. has launched an updated version of its FleetAdvance fuel payment software that allows for increased data analysis.

The federal government is trying once again to eliminate the requirement that nearly all trucking companies submit quarterly financial data to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, calling the requirement “outdated” and unnecessary.

Comdata Corp. said it has started processing cardless fueling transactions using radio-frequency identification, while two major truck-stop chains work to install the wireless technology at all of their fueling locations.
