NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Battery manufacturer Clarios has introduced a battery-as-a-service program to optimize battery replacement and reduce costs for fleet operators.

The new subscription-based service, named Battery Manager Pro, provides continuous battery health monitoring, predictive replacement planning and automatic delivery of replacement batteries when needed.

Clarios announced the new service at the Technology & Maintenance Council’s 2026 Annual Meeting and Transportation Technology Exhibition.

Battery Manager Pro enables a more data-driven approach to battery management than the typical buy and replace model, in which fleets sometimes replace batteries earlier than necessary or wait too long and experience a battery failure.

For a fixed monthly fee, this fully managed service smooths out fluctuations in battery-related expenses while helping fleets prevent vehicle downtime.

Clarios notifies fleets in advance so they can schedule battery replacements during the vehicle’s next preventive maintenance.

“Battery Manager Pro enables fleets to focus on their core operations while we take care of managing the batteries,” said Cagatay Topcu, vice president of Connected Services at Clarios. “Our predictive approach ensures batteries are replaced only when needed, helping fleets reduce unexpected failures and total costs of ownership by maximizing their battery investment.”

Battery Manager Pro is the latest addition to Clarios’ Connected Services portfolio. Other services include IdleLess, which delivers battery-related insights that enable fleets to eliminate unnecessary engine idling time and conserve fuel. Clarios also offers Battery Manager and Trailer Battery Manager, which provide real-time insights into battery health and charge status.
