Transportation Index Reaches Record Level in January

The Department of Transportation said Tuesday its transportation services index rose 0.8% in January to 121.4, the highest level in its 14-year history.

Gasoline Jumps 2.2 Cents to $1.78; Diesel Rises to $1.648

The average price of gasoline rose 2.2 cents to set another record while the average retail national price of diesel fuel increased for the seventh time in the past eight weeks, the Department of Energy reported Monday.

ISM Services Index Rises to 65.8 in March

The Institute for Supply Management said Monday its non-manufacturing index rose to a record 65.8 in March from 60.8 the month before.
