Retail Sales Rise 1.8% in March

March sales at retailers rose 1.8%, the largest increase in a year, the Commerce Department said Tuesday.

The average retail price of diesel fuel rose 3.1 cents to $1.679 per gallon, and gasoline set another record after a 0.6-cent increase, the Department of Energy reported Monday.

House Restricts Toll Provisions While Passing Highway Bill

DOE Says Gasoline Prices to Remain Near Record This Summer
