Producer Prices Unexpectedly Fall 0.1% in July

In a report showing that inflation is not currently a threat to the economy, the Labor Department said Friday its producer price index declined 0.1% in August, as the cost of vehicles and gasoline fell.

Fed Says Economic Growth Slowed in August

Overall economic growth in the United States slowed last month due to "lackluster" retail sales and "cooling" home sales, but manufacturing growth continued to increase, the Federal Reserve said Wednesday.
