Rutland Returns as Chairman, CEO at Allied Holdings

Decatur, Ga.-based Allied Holdings Inc., which boasts the largest North American trucking operation for vehicle deliveries but sees that business slumping, said Tuesday that its board has again elected Robert J. Rutland as chairman and chief executive officer, effective Feb. 15.

The U.S. average pump price for diesel fuel fell two-tenths of one cent to $1.518 per gallon as of Feb. 12, the Energy Department reported Monday afternoon. The price has moved in a fairly narrow range in recent weeks.
