Murfreesboro, Tenn.-based Store Opening Solutions specializes in retail fixture, furniture and equipment inventory. It will become part of the Koch Logistics division.

The acquisition does not change day-to-day operations. The Dart name and operating entities remain unchanged, and drivers, customers, leadership and staff will remain in place.

Ryder System acquired Georgia mobile truck and trailer maintenance specialist Truck Service Depot on Jan. 6 for an undisclosed sum, the company said.

“AB InBev is securing the quality of key packaging assets in the U.S. likely as a result of aluminum tariffs,” according to Duncan Fox, a Bloomberg Intelligence senior industry analyst.

MGN Logistics expanded its freight management business with the acquisition of asset-based expedited logistics brokerage company Fast Service, the company announced Jan. 5.

The expansion of the fleet followed swiftly on the heels of the largest acquisition in Schneider’s 90-year history: the 2024 acquisition of dedicated truckload-focused Cowan Systems.

The move comes less than one month after Richmond, Va.-based PFG and US Foods called off talks for a planned merger that would have reshaped the food service carrier arena.

The assessment from PwC analysts came after a 2025 that already saw buyers focused on subsectors offering defensible growth, operating efficiency and exposure to high-barrier markets.

Best known for its Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo passenger car rental and leasing brands, Enterprise already offered light- and medium-duty truck rental.
