The vote is scheduled a day after Maryland officials more than doubled the estimated cost to replace the bridge and added two years onto the projected completion date — to 2030. 

Grace Ocean Private and Synergy Marine, the owners of the Dali, filed the lawsuit last week against Hyundai Heavy Industries in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

The cargo ship Dali headed out of Baltimore for Virginia, three months after it lost power and crashed into one of the Key Bridge’s supporting columns and caused the bridge to collapse.
