Truckstop founder Scott Moscrip after the sudden departure of Kendra Tucker.

The move returns the longtime freight technology executive to the company he founded in 1995, as Truckstop navigates what it called a crucial period for the business.

鈥淚鈥檓 honored to return and lead the company I founded during this pivotal time,鈥 Moscrip said in a statement. 鈥淭ruckstop has always been centered on the customer, and I鈥檓 excited to continue driving innovations that help our customers run profitable businesses, operate with confidence, and have fun doing the work they love.鈥

Moscrip led the company through its early growth, establishing Truckstop as one of the industry鈥檚 leading digital freight marketplaces. The company became known for its load board platform, widely used by carriers and brokers operating in the spot market.

Tucker, who took the reins during the pandemic, stepped down from her role after helping expand Truckstop鈥檚 service offerings. Her tenure saw the launch of tools focused on fraud protection and factoring 鈥 services the company says are increasingly critical to its users.

鈥淲e are grateful for her dedication and leadership,鈥 said Will Griffith, chair of the board.

The company has started a nationwide search for a permanent CEO.
