With Rourke at the tiller, the carrier expanded in the intermodal segment and refocused its truckload operations more toward the higher-margin dedicated carrier market through organic and inorganic growth.
In November 2024, Schneider bought Cowan Systems for $390 million.
Schneider鈥檚 dedicated fleet now totals around 8,600 tractors, the carrier said in December.
When Schneider went public in 2017, 70% of its truckload segment business was network and 30% was dedicated, Filter told TT in an interview in 2025, shares that have since been reversed.
Under Rourke鈥檚 leadership, Schneider bought Midwest Logistics Systems and M&M Transport Services in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
Schneider is set to release fourth-quarter 2025 earnings after the market close Jan. 29.
