Higher Tolls Drive Truckers Off Oklahoma Turnpikes

Oklahoma鈥檚 turnpike toll increases, which went into effect Jan. 1, were meant to pay off the bonds for 50 miles of turnpike extensions. That payoff may take a little longer than expected, however, because trucks are avoiding the turnpikes to avoid paying 25% to 30% more in tolls.
