Productivity Rose at 1.5% in 3Q

U.S. worker productivity rose at a 1.5% annualized rate in the third quarter of 2001 according to a revised report released by the Labor Department on Thursday. The revised figure was well below the 2.7% rate previously reported and represents the worst three months of contraction in a decade.
