Consumer Confidence at a 10-Month Low

The Conference Board reported Tuesday that its September consumer confidence index hit a 10-month low, falling to 93.3 from a revised reading of 94.5 in August.

Daimler Acquires 43% of Mitsubishi鈥檚 Truck Unit

As part of a plan to expand its truck operations in Asia, DaimlerChrysler AG said Friday it has agreed to pay $1.14 billion for stakes in the truck divisions of Mitsubishi Motors Corp. and Hyundai Motor Co., Bloomberg reported.
