Senate Passes $318 Billion Highway Bill

The Senate voted 76-21 late Thursday to approve a six-year, $318 billion surface transportation bill, which is $100 billion larger than the existing highway spending bill.

House Extends Current Highway Funding as Debate Continues

As the prospects of getting a highway funding bill passed this week dimmed, the U.S. House of Representatives voted 421-0 on Wednesday to extend the existing six-year, $217 billion bill through June, news services reported.
