Working together with major truck makers and industry suppliers, self-driving truck companies are preparing factories for mass production of driverless trucks.

Autonomous startup Gatik signed a deal with a major consumer goods company that will double its contracted revenue to $600 million, helping to build out its business in the U.S. and Canada.

The plan would be the largest deployment of self-driving trucks in North America, according to Gatik, a sign that autonomous freight transport is starting to gain traction.
