  • Volvo Trucks North America in September 2019 introduced an updated version of its driver assistance system that increases the speed from which the brakes can stop the truck without driver input, and which improves the system’s recognition of when the driver switches lanes to avoid a vehicle in its path. Volvo Active Driver Assist 2.0 uses camera and radar sensors to determine traffic conditions around the truck, and issues audible and visual warnings to the driver to take action. (Volvo Trucks North America)
  • Volvo Trucks North America announced in June 2020 the rollout of the Volvo Auto Hauler, a specialized solution for the auto transport industry that completes the design overhaul of the VTNA product portfolio. The new model is designed on the same heavy-duty platform and with many of the features and durable construction found in Volvo Trucks’ vocational VHD model. (Volvo Trucks North America)
  • The CCS2 connector (left) and charging port location on the Volvo VNR Electric truck model. The expanded charging options announced in August 2020, known as Combined Charging System CCS2, was designed around the unique needs of medium- and heavy-duty electric trucks.
