Trucking Moves America Forward recognized eight industry professionals as Black History Month Leaders. They personify excellence in trucking and are being featured for their contributions to the industry.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. ­— A new poll has confirmed that a campaign to improve trucking’s image has been successful in nudging public perception toward a more positive image over the past five years, leaders of Trucking Moves America Forward said at a March 28 news conference here.

An industrywide effort to promote a positive image for trucking raised $1.1 million in donations in 2017, the group’s leadership said at a March 14 news conference.

“Safety Sammy” is the official name of the trucking industry’s newest mascot, the chairman of American Trucking Associations announced over the weekend at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas.

The Trucking Moves America Forward mascot will be revealed Aug. 26 at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Officials of the Trucking Moves America Forward image movement unveiled new images for its growing trailer-wrap program as well as a new video series and reported rapid growth in online subscribers and Facebook followers.

The trucking industry’s message campaign of safety and reliability is connecting with the public in a big way, and a national firm has recognized that.
