Drug Testing Failure Rate for 鈥楽afety-Sensitive鈥 Workers Soars

The percentage of U.S. workers in 鈥渟afety-sensitive鈥 jobs 鈥 a category that includes truck drivers 鈥 who flunked their federally-mandated drug tests increased at an 鈥渁larming鈥 rate from 2015 to 2016, according to an analysis of drug testing data collected by the nation鈥檚 largest lab. Overall, the percentage of safety-sensitive workers who failed crept up year-over-year, the report said.
