IMC Logistics will open a Toronto drayage facility, the carrier’s first expansion outside the U.S. The site is intended to boost IMC’s ability to support cross-border freight shipments.

The Green Corridors project in Laredo, Texas, will use autonomous shuttles on an elevated track to streamline freight movement across the U.S.-Mexico border.  

The permit allows a private investment group to construct, maintain and operate a commercial elevated guideway crossing at the U.S.-Mexico border in Laredo, Texas.

Under its current terms, the deal would allow U.S. buyers to import Mexican steel duty-free as long as they kept total shipments below a level based on historical trade volumes.
