ABF Freight System said it filed legal actions Monday against units of YRC Worldwide and the Teamsters union for what it said were violations of the National Master Freight Agreement collective bargaining agreement that covers most U.S. unionized trucking employees.

The Teamsters union’s rank-and-file membership at YRC Worldwide ratified a new labor agreement to run through 2015 it said is aimed at saving 25,000 jobs at the less-than-truckload carrier.

Wabco Holdings said it earned a profit of $44 million, or 66 cents a share in the third quarter, compared with a loss of $33.8 million, or 52 cents, a year ago.
