Xtra Lease Adds Trailer-Tracking Features
Trailer equipment rental and leasing firm Xtra Lease said it has added new trailer-tracking features for fleets.
The features include emergency tracking and enhanced options for “pinging” trailers and monitoring cargo and door sensor events, to improve fleet visibility and tighten security, Xtra Lease said.
“We’re giving customers more power to monitor their fleets along with the ability to customize trailer tracking reporting based on their freight patterns,” said Bill Franz, Xtra Lease’s chief executive officer.
In March, the company introduced a new trailer-tracking system for its fleet — a customized version of Qualcomm Inc.’s T2 Untethered TrailerTracs asset management system.
