XRS, Samsung Collaborate on Dedicated Device for Trucking Industry
XRS said Monday it is working with Samsung to develop an integrated mobile device and software package designed听for the trucking industry.
According to the trucking software-technology company, the device will be preloaded with its hands-free compliance software and is expected to be available later this year.
鈥淥ur industry is just now starting to realize the incredible potential of mobile computing to improve the bottom line for fleets and drivers alike,鈥澨鼵hristian Schenk senior vice president, product and market strategy for XRS, said in a statement.
鈥淲ith this new, integrated fleet solution, the entire trucking industry can rest assured that their drivers and operations staff will always be in communication, in compliance and in the process of delivering value to customers,鈥 he said.
The Samsung mobile devices will be equipped with the company鈥檚 enhanced security features, including, virtual private network connectivity and on-device encryption.
