Weber Distribution, Santa Fe Springs, Calif., said it has purchased a new fleet of 150 “environmentally friendly” refrigerated trailers.

The purchase consists of 53-foot Great Dane trailers and 48-foot Utility trailers equipped with satellite-based tracking technology, lift-gates and electrical plug-in capabilities, the company said in a statement.

Chief Operating Officer John N said Weber has begun working with Wal-Mart to pick up produce from agricultural regions in California.
