UPS Expands Shipping of Dangerous Goods by Air and Ground
UPS Inc.听expanded its dangerous goods shipping program by adding more than 400 commodities that can be accepted in its global air network and more than 300 products across its ground network in Europe.
The Atlanta-based delivery company also increased the allowable quantity of select dangerous goods accepted for shipment.
There is a growing demand from businesses听in a variety of industries to ship products that are classified as dangerous goods, according to Atlanta-based听UPS. For example, health care companies need to transport chemicals to clean laboratory equipment. Industrial manufacturing companies transport items including paint, compressed gases, adhesives and batteries.
UPS听now can help these businesses ship听among 36 countries, including locations in Asia, Europe and North America, the company said.
