A comment by Teamsters President James Hoffa that “there would be a new general president” if he is sent to prison for jury tampering is page one news for Transport Topics in 1965.

Hoffa eventually did serve time at the Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary in Pennsylvania and was working to reassert his influence in the union when he disappeared from the parking lot of the Machus Red Fox Restaurant in suburban Detroit on July 30, 1975.
