Getting sick is unpleasant in the best of circumstances. But for a trucker far from home hauling a load that must be in the receiver’s hands by tomorrow morning, the experience can be especially grueling.

	Truckers who need a check-up on the road can stop in at one of Artel Medical Centers’ seven truck stop clinics.

When on the road, a trucker does not have family to rely on and cannot go to a familiar doctor. In addition, even if he can find a local physician, there is probably no spare 70-foot parking place just waiting for the rig.

That is why truck stop clinics are just what the doctor ordered for ailing drivers.

Though directories list many travel plazas with nearby hospitals, there are not many truck stops that can boast of on-site medical staff.
