Trimble Acquires ALK Technologies
Trimble Navigation Ltd. said it has acquired navigation technology company ALK Technologies. No terms were disclosed.
ALK provides routing and map products for the transportation and logistics industry and, according to Trimble, 64% of North American for-hire carriers use ALK鈥檚 products.
Barry Glick, president of ALK, will continue to lead the company, according to Trimble.

In October 2012, Trimble completed a $335 million acquisition of transportation software provider TMW Systems听and in 2011,听Trimble听purchased commercial vehicle mobile communications firm PeopleNet Communications Corp.
