NASHVILLE, Tenn. 鈥 Transtex has acquired assets of trailer aerodynamics supplier FleetAero from Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings and has entered into a strategic partnership with the truckload carrier.

The transaction, structured as an asset purchase, expands Transtex鈥檚 portfolio of aerodynamic and fuel-saving technologies for the trucking industry, the companies said in a joint announcement.

FleetAero, formerly Strehl, is the manufacturer of TrailerBlade trailer side skirts and several other aerodynamic products, including mud flaps, wheel covers and the Rocketail rear aerodynamic device for trailers.

Transtex鈥檚 agreement with Knight-Swift also establishes a long-term partnership between the two companies focused on advancing fleet performance, technology validation and driving innovation in fuel efficiency and emission reduction.



The companies announced the agreement during 鈥 Technology & Maintenance Council Annual Meeting and Transportation Technology Exhibition.

Transtex will work to ensure a seamless transition for stakeholders during the asset integration process, he added.

鈥淔leet efficiency is a core priority for Knight-Swift,鈥 said Dave Williams, the fleet operator鈥檚 senior vice president of equipment and governmental relations. 鈥淲e believe this long-term partnership will support continued innovation and drive measurable operational and environmental benefits across our fleet.鈥

Knight-Swift, based in Phoenix, ranks No. 7 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in North America and No. 31 on the TT Top 100 logistics companies list.

In addition to its trailer fairings and other aerodynamic systems for commercial vehicles, Transtex also produces electric auxiliary power units, composite materials and other fuel-saving technologies for the trucking industry.

The company acquired eAPU manufacturer DClimate in 2024.
