Transport America Increases Driver Pay
Transport America is increasing starting driver pay to 43 cents per mile and raising pay for owner operators, solo, team and hazmat drivers.
The Eagan, Minnesota-based company is increasing owner operator pay by 2 cents per mile and increasing pay by 1 cent for solo drivers and team drivers and paying hazmat drivers an additional 4 cents.
The increases will be effective Sept. 1.
“The new pay structure keeps Transport America as a leader among industry pay and one of the first to increase pay among the larger fleets,” CEO Scott Arves said in a statement.
Transport America ranks No. 71 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
