The Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association named Jeff Sims to succeed Richard Bowling as the group’s president, effective July 1.

Bowling, who has worked for the trade group since 1984, is retiring after serving as its president since 1989.

Sims currently is the engineering manager for the group and has worked there since 2000.
