Fleet management software company Telogis Inc. said it has acquired Maptuit, a provider of commercial vehicle navigation technology. Terms were not disclosed.

Telogis said the acquisition — the company’s fifth in three years — enhances its software-as-a-service platform, which includes fleet management, navigation, route optimization, work order management and mobile integration.

Telogis said the enhancements include a location-based service engine that receives feedback from the field about road conditions and physical restrictions. Maptuit’s technologies also enable companies to specify “known-good” routes and yard-approaches, Telogis said.

Telogis said it will expand its customer base by more than 100,000 subscribers by integrating Maptuit’s technologies directly into its platform.
