Privately held Schneider’s 2005 revenue results were originally stated at $3.5 billion.“Like previous years, the transportation and logistics industry faced challenges across the board in 2006, from the driver shortage to volatile fuel prices and the lack of a traditional surge season in fourth quarter,” said Chris Lofgren, Schneider’s chief executive officer.“By offering differentiated solutions that are both strategic and cost effective, we will continue to gain momentum this year,” he said in a statement. The company also has logistics and intermodal operations.Schneider is ranked No. 8 on the Transport Topics 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
