Scania’s Third-Quarter Profit Jumps

Swedish truck maker Scania AB’s third-quarter profit jumped eightfold as demand for heavy trucks increased, Bloomberg reported.

Net income jumped to about $350 million, from $42 million, the Sweden- based company said.ÌýSales rose 38% to $2.8 billion.

Scania is controlled byÌýGermany-based Volkswagen AG. Daimler AG, the world’s largest truck maker, and MAN AG, also both based in Germany,Ìýare scheduled to report their earnings on Thursday.
