Prime Inc. to Conduct Driver Health Seminar

Advice on exercising and choosing smarter meal options on the road will be the focus of a special seminar being conducted by refrigerated truckload carrier Prime Inc. on March 28 at the Mid-America Trucking Show.

The event, scheduled for 3:30 p.m. toÌý4:30 p.m. EDT,Ìýwill feature Siphiwe Baleka, Prime’s driver fitness coach. He is a former college swimmer and Ironman triathlete who recentlyÌýwasÌýfeatured on Fox Sports.

BalekaÌýalso will discuss how to leverage digital health technology to build custom systems for drivers and carriers, Prime said in a statement.

Prime founder Robert Low, a former chairman of the Truckload Carriers Association, has been at the forefront of trucking industry leaders promoting driver health and wellness.Ìý Data from the National Institutes of Health show truckers are among the unhealthiest Americans with a life expectancy of only 61 years.



Prime, based in Springfield, Missouri., ranks No. 22 on the Transport Topics 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in the United States and Canada.
