Consumer personal spending rose 0.1% in November for a second straight month, the Commerce Department said.

The gain was below economists’ median forecast of a 0.3% increase, Bloomberg reported.

Personal incomes slipped 0.1% from October.

A rise in consumer spending could increase demand for new factory goods and the trucking shipments that get them to stores.
