PeopleNet, Microdea Set In-Cab Scanning
Transportation software firm PeopleNet, in partnership with Microdea Inc., said Monday the two have introduced in-cab scanning for the trucking industry.
The new function provides the capability to scan and transmit documents directly from a truck鈥檚 cab using Microdea technology and PeopleNet鈥檚 bandwidth for mobile communications, the two said.
PeopleNet, Minneapolis, makes onboard communications, and global positioning systems and fleet management systems.
Microdea is based in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada.
