Oil Rises to Four-Day High Over $106

Oil rose to a four-day high Monday, topping $106 a barrel as analysts predicted growth in European economies for the first time in two years, Bloomberg News reported.

Crude futures rose 43 cents to as high as $106.40Ìýa barrel in early New York Mercantile Exchange trading, after closing below $106 for the past four trading days.

Oil has traded at more than $100 since early July, according to Bloomberg Nymex figures.

Diesel dipped less than a penny last week after rising for the four previous weeks, while gasoline has declined a nickel in two straight drops.



The Department of Energy will release its weekly survey of pump prices Monday afternoon in Washington.
