Two of the best-known names in the chemical hauling business are about to disappear.

MTL Inc. said it will combine its two principal chemical hauling operations — Montgomery Tank Lines and Chemical Leaman Tank Lines — to form Quality Carriers, beginning March 1.

The parent company will also change its name from MTL to Quality Distribution Inc.
