Pennsylvania-Based Logistics Plus Grows Brokerage Unit

Third-party logistics provider Chicago-based freight brokerage LoadDelivered Logistics for an undisclosed sum, the company said Sept. 4.

LoadDelivered Logistics will continue operating under its established brand while working with Logistics Plus’ existing North American brokerage team, the Erie, Pa.-based company said.

Logistics Plus ranks No. 80 on Transport Topics’ Top 100 list of the largest logistics companies in North America, No. 33 in dry storage warehousing and No. 66 among freight brokers.

More than 100 staff members at LoadDelivered will remain with the company, including the current management team, Ostapyak told Transport Topics.

Logistics Plus’ existing brokerage division has around 130 employees, focusing on truckload and less-than-truckload business.

Ostapyak said Logistics Plus will see a doubling of its truckload operations as a result of the deal.

Logistics Plus has about 1,400 employees globally and operates 40 warehouses with a combined footprint of around 10 million square feet, the majority of which is in North America.
