Logistical Labs Offers Intermodal Booking Option
Software provider Logistical Labs is offering a door-to-door intermodal booking system for CSX and some Norfolk Southern truck-rail service.
The offering widens the use of its mode optimization program known as LoadDex, the company said in a statement.
LoadDex uses a variety of data to provide pricing and mode-selection options.
“This first-of-its-kind integration brings LoadDex closer to becoming a fully automated rating and booking machine, similar to Priceline or Orbitz in the travel industry,” said Chris Ricciardi,Logistical Labs' chief product officer.
