JHCI Holdings Inc., parent of the third-party logistics provider Jacobson Cos., said it acquired Global Transportation Services Inc., a Seattle 3PL that provides international logistics services.

“The acquisition of Global Transportation Services will allow us to meet our customers’ needsby being able to manage intercontinental supply chains while expanding Jacobson’s position in international freight and third-party logistics,” said Brian Lutt, president of the Jacobson Cos.

In March, Jacobson announced the creation of its International Logistics Services group, which will help the company expand its reach overseas. Global Transportation Services will become a part of that group, Jacobson said.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
