Indiana Firm Chaser Buys Memphis City Cartage
Regional trucking firm Memphis City Cartage Inc. has been acquired by Chaser, a truckload carrier based in Anderson, Indiana, for an undisclosed amount.
The purchase is part of听Chaser's听plan听to expand through acquisitions, said Sam Summer, a senior advisor at Generational Equity, a Dallas firm that advised MCCI.
鈥淐haser is building a full-service transportation enterprise through acquisitions,鈥 Summer said in a Jan. 5 statement. 鈥淢CCI provides Chaser with a significant component to that process.鈥
Chaser operates in dedicated services, regional shorthaul truckload, medium and longhaul听TL, and temperature-controlled听TL
MCCI provides local cartage, regional TL, intermodal and warehousing services. The Memphis, Tennnessee, company was established in 2002.
