House Passes Card Check for Union Representation
The House of Representatives approved a bill that would make it easier for labor unions to organize emplyees, but President Bush said he would veto the measure if it passed the Senate.
The legislation would allow a union to be certified as the employees’ representative based on a “card check” rather than an election, as the law now requires.A Senate vote has not been scheduled.
