House Panel to Hold Hearing on Public-Private Partnerships

A special House panel exploring opportunities for public-private partnerships across all modes of transportation will conduct an overview hearing March 5 on Capitol Hill.

The 11-member bipartisan panel, headed by U.S. Rep. John Duncan Jr. (R-Tenn.), was appointed earlier this year by House Transportation Committee chairman Bill Shuster (R-Pa.). The committee announced the hearing Feb. 27 but did not announce the lineup of witnesses.

The panel’s charge is to examine the current state of public-private partnerships to identify how they can aid in the development and delivery of transportation and infrastructure projects in the United States.
