Japanese truck maker Hino Motors Ltd. said it will nearly triple its production of diesel engines in China this year, Bloomberg reported.
Hino said Shanghai Hino Engine Co., a joint venture with Shanghai Diesel Engine Co., plans to build 8,500 engines for trucks and heavy machinery in 2008, up from 3,000 last year, Bloomberg said.
